Back to training

delighted Monday! I wasn’t meant to be into work up until 9am, however got a last minute visit for a physical fitness examination at 8 so I had to cut my run to 5 miles. (It was a close contact us to even make it with that!)

Today I’m talking to Dr. Jason Karp –  one of the authors of the original study on chocolate milk as a recovery drink. I’ve been wanting to cover this topic for a while and was all set to talk to an RD when it somehow came up that Jason – who I’ve known for a few years now, worked on the first trial. NE! So I asked him to break it down for us and explain the study, chocolate milk’s benefits and other options for fuel that can work.

I created Run eat Repeat.com almost 10 years ago to document my marathon training and health journey. since then… I’ve run over 30 marathons, 50 half marathons, lost 20 pounds and the site grew an incredible following and now it’s also a podcast!

JASON KARP, PhD – is a running coach and creator of Run-Fit and revolution Running a running coach certification program. He’s the author of several running books covering topics from running for weight loss to marathon training. and he’s one of the authors of the study, ‘Chocolate Milk as a Post-Exercise recovery Aid’ which was published in the international Journal of sport Nutrition and exercise Metabolism in 2006.

Weight Loss Wed–Fitbit Ultra evaluation

I’ve got a fun gear evaluation for Weight Loss Wednesday – The Fitbit Ultra. Fitbit is a wireless activity tracker that tracks your steps, mileage as well as calories burned. It retails for $99.95 offered on the internet as well as in stores.

The set up was super simple – it took less than five minutes for me to plug it in, update it with my info as well as set up my on the internet account (A great deal easier than the body bugg!). You set up your account as well as input your personal information to provide it a much better concept of the calories you shed with activity.

It includes a little charging gadget that plugs into your computer. But, you do not requirement to plug it in to update your info on the internet – as long as you come within 15 feet of the docking station it updates! *Love this element as well – again, easier than the body bugg.

I didn’t put it on up until mid-morning yesterday so I didn’t hit all my goals for the day.

*I appreciate that it updates your dashboard immediately when you get close to the docking station. I didn’t have to do anything except refresh the page to get my results!

But, you don’t even requirement to do that – just press the button the front as well as it tells you steps, mileage as well as calorie count.

I used it on my run this morning as well as it was a bit generous on the mileage. I ran 8 miles as well as walked a bit, however it was about a half a mile over (compared to my Moto’s reading). I’m going to keep comparing to see if it’s consistently 1/2 off or if it varies based on distance.

Pros:

Bizimle bitiyor – Sesli Kitap Değerlendirmesi

Kitabın değerlendirmesi – Colleen Hoover tarafından bizimle bitiyor

Bizimle Audible’da sona erdi (buradan alabilirsiniz). Aynı şekilde Amazon ve Kindle’da da burada veya bölgesel kitap mağazanızda sunuluyor.

Bir kitabı ortaya çıkardıktan sonra her zaman bunun hakkında konuşmak istiyorum, ancak online bir kitap kulübüne başlamak için yeterli iyi arkadaşlara sahip değilim … bu yüzden bu değerlendirmeleri size göstermenin yanı sıra özetlemek için de yapıyorum.

Bu kitabı, yürürken koşarken Audible hakkında dinledim. Değerlendirmem bu deneyime kesin ve okuyorsanız biraz farklı olabileceğine inanıyorum.
